Dilsdone in the student housing sector in Rome

Dils is proud to have assisted SHQT, part of BNL-BNP Paribas Group, in the sale to Savills SGR - on behalf of global investment company Barings - of a 25,000 sqm area in Rome.

Thanks to a major regeneration project, a modern student housing with more than 300 beds surrounded by green areas and sports facilities will be developed.

The new complex will be located in the Tiburtino district: a pivotal spot able to attract students from LUISS Guido Carli University and from La Sapienza University, the largest in Italy with more than 100.000 students.

This deal represents a strategic transaction for the city of Rome - given the strong demand for student accommodations. In addition, the investments of new international institutional funds demonstrate the growing attractiveness of PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation), a sector that in 2023 recorded investments of over 240 million and represents a strategic asset class for the enhancement of the Italian education sector.
