Dils sponsors the IX edition of Open House Milano: 100 undiscovered places open to the public on May 25th and 26th

Dils sponsors the IX edition of Open House Milano, an annual festival that allows the people of Milan to explore normally inaccessible or forgotten places through free guided tours organized by a network of 200 volunteers.

On Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th, 100 sites will open their doors to showcase an unseen Milan, ranging from large masterplans that are changing the city's face to the more intimate dimension of private residences and renowned interior design studios.

"We share with Open House Milano a love for the territory in which we operate and the desire to unveil the secrets it holds," said Giuseppe Amitrano, CEO of Dils. "Understanding our city and appreciating its beauty is the first step in taking care of it. For this reason, This is my Milano, our give-back project for the enhancement and concrete support of neighborhoods, involves local communities in initiatives dedicated to different areas."

The theme of the 2024 edition is Città Ecosistema (City Ecosystem), "a reflection that sees Milan as a place of coexistence where the human component is only part of the biodiversity present within it," explain the organizers. The festival aims to highlight architecture as an essential element for understanding the DNA of a city and for comprehending its evolution, as well as being a connector for its citizens.

The Open House network was born in London in 1992, spreading to 55 metropolises around the world and giving rise to Open House Worldwide, the largest international showcase dedicated to architecture.

Dils also supported Open House Milano with the preview of the festival, which took place on May 12th at Ticinese during the Festa del quartiere (Neighborhood Party) as part of the This is my Milano project. On this occasion, three architectural gems of the neighborhood were opened to the public, with significant historical and cultural value: the Remains of an Ancient Monastery in via San Martino, the Ancient Church of San Celso, and the Santa Croce Nursery School.
